A new addition to the Mass Effect franchise has been confirmed for release next month. Mass Effect Invasion is an essential new story for fans of the franchise, building the bridge for the events that occur in Mass Effect 3.
Mass Effect Invasion is a new comic book mini-series, of which the first two issues have been revealed thus far. The first issue takes place in the Omega space station, the centre of lawlessness in the galaxy, a den of vice ruled by the deadly asari Aria. It is also a strategic foothold in a galaxy-wide power struggle, and when the station comes under attack from a new threat unleashed by the humanity-first organisation Cerberus, Aria is forced to become more ruthless than ever to protect her home and her dominion.
The second issue sees Aria T’Loak, pirate queen of Omega, lead the charge against the grotesque invaders, but when the true threat behind them is revealed, Aria is forced to regroup and form a new strategy or risk losing everything.
The first issue of Mass Effect Invasion will be available in the UK from 26th October 2011, with the second issue following in November. The Mass Effect Invasion mini-series is to be published by Dark Horse Comics, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the Mass Effect franchise.
