Toy Soldiers is available to download via the Games for Windows – LIVE service now, as well as via the Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360.

The Toy Soldiers franchise is one which has developed a significant following. Along with this debut title, Toy Soldiers has also received a sequel (which recently benefited from new downloadable content) Electronic Theatre Imageand a Windows Phone 7 outing, Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp, resulting in a cross-format franchise that graces everyone of Microsoft Studios’ gaming formats. Tip 1: Keyboard shortcuts are your friend. Use the 1–5 keys to quickly choose a turret type to place.

 

Tip 2: While using your turrets, press the W, A, S, or D keys to quickly jump to the nearest turret in the chosen direction. If using the controller, use the D-pad.

 

Tip 3: Placing barbed wire is a great way to slow infantry units while you build or repair a turret. Press the 6 key to select barbed wire. The Q and E keys will rotate the barbed wire, and you can place it with the left-mouse button.Electronic Theatre Image

 

Tip 4: Rotate artillery turrets to take new targets under fire. Press the Q or E keys while hovering over or using an artillery turret to adjust its field of fire.

 

Tip 5: Always keep on the move when in a vehicle to minimize damage from enemy turrets.

 

Tip 6: You can switch between normal view and strategic view by using the mouse scroll wheel to see all the action on the battlefield. If using the controller, click the right thumbstick.

 

Tip 7: Remember, if you exit an air vehicle, you cannot take control of it again. If you exit a land vehicle, you have 10 seconds to retake control or it will return to where you found it.
