Following the critically acclaimed release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance earlier this year, Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai range today launches the first officially licensed action figure based on the videogame. Depicting protagonist Raiden armed in a black reinforced exoskeleton, this new action figure comes packaged in a windowed box for display purposes.
An imposing cyborg who wields a signature high-frequency blade modelled on a Japanese katana, this and outline of human muscle behind the armour emphasize the detailed textures of the action figure. A scabbard to house Raiden’s sword can be attached to the waist, and the base of the scabbard is adjustable so that it can be positioned as desired.
The fringe part of Raiden’s hair is detachable and can be replaced with a facemask and the feet can also be replaced at the ankle, allowing you to recreate the pose seen in the videogame cinematics, holding the blade with his foot. The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Play Arts Kai range begins today with the launch of Raiden, priced at £69.99 GBP, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the series.
