Warhorse Studios License CryENGINE 3

Electronic Theatre ImageCrytek GmbH and Warhorse Studios have announced that they have closed a licensing deal for Crytek’s proprietary all-in-one game development solution CryENGINE 3. Warhorse Studios is working on an unannounced role-playing game (RPG), which will use the engine for its basis throughout development and final production.

Nexon License Unity Platform

This broad agreement allows Nexon to license and deploy Unity across all of its global subsidiaries, and both access and modify the full complement of Unity products including source code.

Just Dance Achieves 25 Million Unit Sales

Today, Ubisoft announced that, according to internal estimates, Just Dance 3 sold through more than seven million units since its release, bringing total sell-through of the Just Dance franchise to more than twenty five million units worldwide. Launched in October, Just Dance 3 has consistently been in the top five videogame sales charts in both the U.S. (NPD) and Europe (GfK Chart Track).

Sony or Microsoft Will Not Launch Next-Gen System, Claims Gaikai

The online software delivery company Gaikai has claimed that one of the currently existing videogame console manufacturers will not release a next-generation system. Speaking at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) this week, it was stated that the announcement of their change in direction will be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this summer.
