8 May, 2012

This week’s new addition to the catalogue of downloadable titles from Alawar Entertainment is set to be the oddly impressive Snark Busters 3. Electronic Theatre Preview: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

5 May, 2012
By

The official reveal of the long-rumoured Call of Duty: Black Ops II may not have gone according to plan for Activision, with leaks on both sides of the Atlantic leaving little to be seen when the preordained time came, but you’d still be foolish to bet against it being another groundbreaking success for one of the world’s most successful franchises. The fact that such leaks were championed by global media organisations proves just how much weight Call of Duty still carries, and just how important to the videogame industry Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be.

Electronic Theatre Preview: All Zombies Must Die! Scorepocalypse

12 April, 2012
By

Electronic Theatre ImageSet to launch on PC next week, All Zombies Must Die! Scorepocalypse is not a sequel to the well received original title, but rather a new string to the series’ bow. A standalone title as opposed to an expansion to All Zombies Must Die!, this latest release is a wallet-friendly, score-hungry, co-operative blastathon that asks for nothing more than a few splattered zombie brains. A few hundred, that is.

11 April, 2012
By

Electronic Theatre ImageThe original Sniper Elite, released back in 2005, was accredited with being a surprise success story. Developed by UK outfit Rebellion, the videogame was widely praised for presenting an original idea in a very unique fashion. Since then a number of similar titles have seen release on a variety of platforms, but very few have received the same amount of attention from both critics and consumer. This year however, Rebellion is back with Sniper Elite V2, and the team are confident that their modernisation of the formula will present another compelling, innovative videogame experience.

Style or simulation: whatever happened to just being good?
