Having already become the fastest selling sports-based release in European videogame history, FIFA 10 is certainly making the most of the dwindling consumer respect for Konami’s once genre defining Pro Evolution Soccer series. That, coupled with some incredibly large supermarket discounting, has probably secured the FIFA franchise as the premier football game for another year as it’s highly unlikely that Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 will be able to exceed this lofty achievement, but few would argue there was a ever a better year for EA SPORTS to reclaim the top spot.
