Kung-Fu LIVE is somewhat of an oddity for the videogames community at present. Both Microsoft and Sony have recently launched their own unique motion-control devices on their respective console formats, and yet here is a game that crosses the divide. The PlayStation Move may offer you enhanced motion-controller precision, and Kinect full-body motion-control, but here is a game that proposes to do the latter on the host system of the former. An interesting prospect then, to say the least.

Doublesix Studios’ Top Gun is now available on PlayStation Network and Steam, and comes to market with a fair amount of expectation. The Guildford-based team is carving itself a respectable reputation for delivering perfectly formed downloadable entertainment packages, with Burn! Zombie! Burn! and South Park: Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! both having received their fair share of praise, but more than this is the pedigree behind the videogame adaptation of Maverick and Goose’s rise through the ranks at the Fighter Weapons School.

Having originally debuted in 1987, the After Burner series is one of SEGA’s most beloved Arcade franchises. Yu Suzuki’s follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Space Harrier, After Burner is similar in many respects, but managed to attract a wider audience due to its real-world setting. It’s surprising then, that while Space Harrier is often fondly referred to by all corners of the industry and has benefited from many sequels, while After Burner has been left without a new title since for over a decade.

As the second episode in Relentless Software’s Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 2: The Mystery of Riddle Manor has less to prove than its predecessor. The PlayStation 3 hardcore will undoubtedly have made up their minds about the series after the first instalment, and those continuing to follow the investigations of the Blue Toad Detective Agency will already know much of what to expect from the second instalment. But that doesn’t mean Relentless are about to rest on their laurels, as The Mystery of Riddle Manor aims to provide a number of inventive new puzzles to accompany the intriguingly twisted plotline.

Atomic Elbow’s Switchball has taken it’s time coming to the European PlayStation Store, and as a product of that delay it appears that Sony Online Entertainment have taken on the publishing duties. Though having been available on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC for some time, this PlayStation Network launch represents a polished version of the game; not quite a “directors cut” perhaps, but certainly a smoother ride.
