Microsoft Studios’ full-body motion-control device is benefiting from a great deal of support this winter. After a year on store shelves it seems that third parties are finally ready to support the device with brand new franchises and adaptations of existing ones. Alongside familiar videogame names such as Rabbids and Forza come some more commercial properties, one such title being Grease Dance from 505 Games.

SEGA’s Rise of Nightmares has been one of the most highly-anticipated Kinect titles since the unveiling of the device over a year ago. The first maturely themed motion-control title for the Xbox 360’s full body motion-control device, there has been a lot of expectation placed on the videogame, and lots has been said about the in-development work that may not necessarily stand true with the final product. Now, here with the finished retail version available in stores worldwide, it quickly becomes apparent that Rise of Nightmares is a bold and refreshing new direction for motion-controlled videogames.
Ubisoft’s Just Dance series has become one of the most popular new franchises on the current-generation for a very specific reason: there are no barriers for entry. Just as with Wii Sports or Wii Fit before it, gamers playing Just Dance know just what will be expected of them before they even pick up that Wii Remote, or here with the Xbox 360 Kinect version of Just Dance 3, stand in front of that camera.
