Dead or Alive 5, Mario Tennis Open & Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour Confirmed for MCM London Comic Con

Electronic Theatre ImageNext week’s MCM London Comic Con is set to play host to some of the biggest videogame titles set for release in 2012. Along with previously announced highlights such as Aliens: Colonial Marines, Lollipop Chainsaw and Kingdom Hearts [Dream Drop Distance], the show will also present new titles from the likes of Tecmo Koei Europe, Nintendo and Capcom.

Long time supporters of the MCM London Comic Con Tecmo Koei Europe will show a playable demo of upcoming beat-‘em-up Dead or Alive 5, including a tournament in their booth on Saturday. Other titles show visitors can get hands-on with will Electronic Theatre Imageinclude Warriors Orochi 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3. Capcom titles confirmed include mech battler Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor and open world action role-playing game (RPG) Dragon’s Dogma.

Namco Bandai Europe is bringing its ShiftyLook artists and writers to MCM London Comic Con, including Matt Moylan (Bravoman), Dax Gordine (Bravoman), Jim Zub (Wonder Momo), Ben McCool (Dirk Davies), Dean Haspiel (Dirk Davies), Marv Wolfman (MCM-announced title), and Rob Pereyda (Editor-in-Chief). Namco Bandai’s ShiftyLook will also be hosting an action-packed chat show for MCM visitors featuring stand-up comedy, thrilling guests and live music. The Saturday evening show will be held at the nearby Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Jagex Games Studios will bring the hugely popular massively multiplayer online (MMO) videogame RuneScape to MCM London Comic Con for the first time, with an exclusive voice acting panel, live concept art demos, event-exclusive t-shirts and a chance to try out the videogame. Jagex will also be bringing Transformers Universe, the as-yet-unreleased MMO based on the popular Hasbro brand.

In addition to the publisher supported events, film, TV, anime and videogame voice actress Ali Hillis, who stars as main character Lightning in Final Fantasy XIII and its sequel Final Fantasy XIII-2, will be appearing at the event. The MCM London Comic Con will take place at Excel London on 25th-27th May 2012, and Electronic Theatre will be on hand to bring you all the latest from the showfloor.
