    Set for release later this month, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is perhaps the closest you will come to the struggle of surviving an actual zombie apocalypse. So what tips do you have?     Always aim for the head and don’t bother with axes – they’ll only leave you vulnerable when you swing it.

    The original The Walking Dead videogame from Telltale Games had a few good rules, and the movie Zombieland is practically based entirely around them: when getting into a vehicle, ALWAYS CHECK THE BACK SEAT!

    Crowbars are essential. A decent melee weapon when in a pinch and locks aren’t much bother anymore.

    I think there’s some solid advice here…

    Try to blend in at first, a bit Shaun of the Dead style. If not knife in one hand, gun in the other.

    I’d grab a load of food, as many sharp things as i can hold, shove it in a car and drive to a castle! I hope there’s a castle in the game…..

    There’s some good suggestions here, but what do you think would be the safest place to be? I’d head straight for a supermarket – food, painkillers, places to rest etc. Anyone else got any good places?

    Nobody better say the gun store, or you’ll be the bait for the horde. ;)

    I’ve read the article and now all i canthink of are the ones in there!

    For safe places I’d say a bank. not many supplies but there’s only one way in and out of a vault!

    I’m genuinely shocked that nobody has suggested a police station yet! Weapons, generators, food and other supplies all with security up to the nth degree. What more could you want?!

    Ever seen Death Valley? Vampires as well, but a police station ain’t that safe!
