As anticipation builds for Eidos Interactive and Avalanche Studios’ forthcoming Just Cause 2, the developers have released a brand trailer entitled ‘Freedom and Chaos’. This new trailer showcases a variety of environments, from snowy peaks to beautiful sunsets, and demonstrates the freedom given to the player to choose their own combat tactics in each.

Just Cause 2 presents an opportunity to kiss goodbye to the constraints of reality. As you step into the shoes of Rico Rodriguez, the Agency's most powerful weapon, you’ll be able to surf jet fighters into oil rigs, ‘helicopter hop’ from the burning wreckage of your aircraft and hijack your pursuer, devastate heavily defended military installations with nothing but your grapple and a snappy one-liner. As this new video shows; if you think it’ll work, it probably will.

With over 400 square miles of some of the most varied gameplay locations ever seen, Just Cause 2 gives players the freedom to take on the world in more ways than you Electronic Theatre Imagecan possibly imagine. Players will be able to choose to work for any of the three island factions, with almost 200 missions, challenges and assassinations available throughout the course of the game.

Just Cause 2 is the follow-up to 2006’s widely respected Just Cause. Electronic Theatre delivered an in-depth review of Just Cause shortly after release, stating that, “Not much has come close to offering you an experience in which you genuinely feel like the world’s greatest Super-Spy, but more than this, no other titles with the same Mission Statement have been able to do it with such a cognitive sense of freedom.”

Just Cause 2 is currently in development at Avalanche Studios for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows, and will be available on March 26th 2010. The game will be published under Square Enix’s Eidos Interactive label following the acquisition of Eidos last year. You can find the ‘Freedom and Chaos’ trailer on the official website at www.JustCause.com, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Just Cause 2 as it’s release in March approaches.
