Following the release of the official European box art for the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy XIII yesterday, Square Enix have followed with the box art for their Wii exclusive Final Fantasy release, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Not to be outdone by it’s high-definition competitors, the latest Final Fantasy Wii release is set to arrive across Europe on February 5th 2010.
A direct sequel to the GameCube’s often under-appreciated Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers opens up a whole new style of game design never experienced in previous Final
Fantasy Crystal Chronicles games. Set in a huge and beautifully created open-world universe, players will be treated to a magnificent story of adventure, exploration and puzzle solving.
A young mercenary name Layle, a crystal bearer, has been hired to escort the new passenger airship. Alexis, the pinnacle of Lilty technology and a symbol of their current dominance, is suddenly besieged by a horde of monsters. Layle comes face to face with an adversary thought to have vanished from the pages of history, on a quest that may threaten the future of the world.
The European box art for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers closely resembles the Japanese artwork, unlike that of Final Fantasy XIII. Set for release early next year exclusively on Wii, Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers and other entries in the phenomenally popular Final Fantasy series.
