Capcom Europe has released a whole new batch of screenshots from the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release, Lost Planet 2. The successor to 2007’s warmly received Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is currently expected to arrive in early 2010.
It was recently revealed that Lost Planet 2 invites players to control their characters across six interconnected episodes. With this concept, it is suggested that players will engage in the story in a much more dynamic way as plot threads evolve from different players’ perspectives.
The new screenshots showcase three new enemies set to appear in Lost Planet 2. The images pictured on this page show a confrontation with the enemy known as Red Eye, both on foot and in a devastating looking tank. Also released today are images presented the mighty Gordiant (aka Salanader), and the fearsome Akrid X, both of which will be available on Electronic Theatre shortly. Gamers who have played the demo version currently available on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will know that all the Gordiant requires a great deal of co-ordinated teamwork to defeat, and the same is said to be true of both the Red Eye and Akrid X.
It was recently revealed that players who pre-order Lost Planet 2 will receive a bonus code unlocking a unique Albert Wesker skin and weapon, based upon his appearance in Resident Evil 5. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest on Lost Planet 2.
