Mobile videogame service provider and publisher Thumbstar Games has followed up its landmark China Telecom deal announcement with launch news of the first two titles published under the Thumbstar brand. Headed up by brothers Martin and Gareth Edmondson, formerly of Reflection Studios, Thumbstar Games promises to build a growing portfolio of high-quality mobile gaming experiences for smartphones and tablets.
The first title, Porkchop and Mouse, is an interactive storybook created by award winning children’s author Fiona Roberton, and based on the book first published by Puffin in 2007. This delightful story is fully narrated, and has the feature to let children read and record their own voices to aid pronunciation. Porkchop and Mouse is available from today for iOS and Android devices.
Clumsy Pirates is an addictive pirate-themed puzzle videogame suitable for all ages. Players help Billy the Mop throw bombs overboard while collecting gold coins against the clock across ninety six challenging levels, with simple controls and delightful graphics. Clumsy Pirates features Game Center and Openfeint achievements and leaderboards, and is available from today for Blackberry Playbook and Android devices, and coming soon on iOS devices.
“These games are the start of a rapidly escalating release slate focused on quality and playability,” said Gareth Edmondson, CEO of Thumbstar Games. “Our continued focus is to break open more markets and opportunities for the developers we represent, enabling them to maximize the return on their IPs.”
Porkchop and Mouse and Clumsy Pirates stand as two of the six recently revealed mobile titles in the pipeline at Thumbstar Games, with the other four expected to arrive later this summer. Trailers for both titles are available below, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest releases from Tumbstar Games.
