CAVE has today announced that fans of the Windows Phone 7 original version of Dodonpachi Maximum will tomorrow receive a free update for the videogame, in line with the title’s debut on iOS devices. Bringing a brand new gameplay mode, control method and a brand new level.
First released on 7th March 2012, Dodonpachi Maximum provides an unforgettable bullet-hell experience optimized for Windows Phone devices. This new update includes many new features, such as the newly implemented Easy Mode which goes further than simply reducing the number of enemies and bullets on-screen, additionally adding a brand new story and ending to the videogame. A new control system will also offer an alternative way to trigger Dodonpachi Maximum’s massive Laser Bomb, allowing players to tap twice with one finger to unleash this powerful attack in addition to the pre-existing two-finger tap.
“We listened to your feedback and requests and have made numerous changes, including phone vibration when your ship takes damage, new character voices, and more! We hope the next time you fire up the game you’ll agree that Dodonpachi: Maximum is better than ever.” States the press release from CAVE.
Other additions include the new MX-07 ship and an all-new stage with music composed by WASi303.
