This week’s digital releases for Nintendo consoles are quite thin on the ground, considering the usual abundance of new titles for Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS. However there is a definite star of the show, as Kirby’s Star Stacker comes exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS console, available from today.
Kirby’s Star Stacker is a puzzle videogame originally launched for the Game Boy in 1997. A Super Famicom revision was developed for Japanese audiences a year later, but never made its way to European shores. A virtual console release of the Super Famicom edition was made available in Japan for Wii in 2010,
and the Game Boy edition was reengineered for the Nintendo 3DS earlier this year. Today’s release of the Nintendo 3DS edition of Kirby’s Star Stacker marks the first time the videogame has been available in western territories in more than a decade.
Also available this week are yet more tracks for Square Enix Ltd.’s phenomenally popular Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, iSpot Japan for both Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi, and more titles detailed below. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the newest releases made available for Nintendo digital channels.
