Wastelands Interactive have confirmed that strategy game, Strategic War in Europe, is currently in development for release this year. Strategic War in Europe is being developed for the PC under the focus of strategy game veteran developer Leszek Lisowski who has led the development of half a dozen strategy games over the past several years.
Leszek Lisowski commented, “Personally I feel like Strategic War in Europe is an old school strategy game in modern form. The gameplay is sort of on the beer and pretzel side of strategy games with a lot of features under the cover. What’s very important is the huge possibility for modding we have integrated into the game.”
Strategic War in Europe will feature zix unique scenarios spanning 1939-1944, an expansive map of Europe and North Africa that is sixty-eight hexes wide and forty-seven hexes high and the facility for players to control up to twenty-five countries across the three World War 2 alliances (Allies, Axis, USSR). Build your army to attack from land, sea, and air and experience dynamic weather system that affects the tide of war.
Strategic War in Europe is currently anticipating a release in the second quarter of 2012 across many major digital distribution platforms. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.
