BlueGiant Interactive has announced their upcoming title Tryst, a real-time strategy (RTS) videogame set in the distant future where humans find themselves at war with a mechanical alien race known as the Zali. In Tryst, the player takes command of one of these two factions as they wage war on a distant world where their opponent won’t be all that’s vying for their attention.

Tryst is a competitive RTS in which players experience reactive environmental dangers, a breadth of unique units and most importantly the A.R.M. – the Augmentation Research Mechanism. This last feature allows the player to equip units with specific load-outs to change their natural advantages and disadvantages.

These features are laid upon a solid foundation of core RTS features like base building, structure-unit dependency and resource management. Tryst is a videogame that is promising incredible depth and versatility, such as the option to upgrade all units, allowing each of them to perform their designated roles effectively and fit into different roles to stay viable in an ever changing battle. Players will take part in a campaign with missions that offer the player multiple tactical choices as they learn to command the two playable races, the Humans and the Zali, each with distinct advantages and styles.

In addition to the single-player gameplay, Tryst promises many multiplayer maps built for team or free-for-all brawls with a maximum of eight players in each battlefield, and if a teammate has to leave the battle he will be replaced by a competitive and intelligent AI immediately. Each map is filled with dangers that can both hold the player back or be used tactically to lure an enemy into the perfect ambush, and the built-in map editor will allow for some unique designs, with sharing and creation system being made available for the community post-release.

Tryst will feature the usual assortment of matchmaking lobbies, clans, ratings, stat tracking, Steam achievements, leaderboards and built-in replays when it becomes available, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on this and other forthcoming titles from BlueGiant Interactive.
