Electronic Theatre ImageNamco Bandai Games Europe S.A.S. is taking control of the publishing duties for City Interactive’s forthcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and last we heard the videogame was set to launch next month on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. However, Electronic Theatre has had confirmation from the distribution partners for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, stating that the release has now been postponed until later this year.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the follow-up to the phenomenally successful 2010 original release, Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Sniper: Ghost Warrior was panned by critics, but performed incredibly well at retail thanks to a Electronic Theatre Imagewelcoming price point and wide ranging adoption by supermarket chains. Hopes are high that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will perform better in terms of gameplay, especially considering the increased competition in the form of 505 Games’ Sniper Elite V2.

Originally set to be available from 21st August 2012, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will now launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC simultaneously – in both Limited and Collector’s Edition retail packages – on 9th October. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and other forthcoming releases from Namco Bandai Games.
