Following the critically acclaimed console release of Dark Souls last year, Namco Bandai Games has today launched the long awaited PC edition of the videogame. Available now as a Games for Windows – LIVE retail package, as well as via selected digital distribution channels, the PC edition of the videogame features a number of special bonuses in its Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition packaging.
The Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will include both physical in box content and all the new features of the ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ add-on content; an additional challenging adventure for stalwart heroes to face as they return to the deadly world of Lordran. Players will experience an as yet untold chapter in Dark Souls lore set in the dying kingdom of magic known as Oolacile. Unwillingly taken by the abyss and sent back in time, the player becomes the only one who can save Oolacile from the spreading darkness that threatens to engulf the kingdom and all of its people.
Originally launched in October last year, Electronic Theatre delivered an in-depth review of Dark Souls prior to release, stating: “It’s a videogame experience that grips the player and doesn’t let go.” Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is available for PC gamers from today, and Electronic Theatre will bring you an in-depth review of the PC release in the near future.
