Released today, Iron Front – Liberation 1944’s D-Day is the first downloadable content (DLC) update for the popular strategy title from Deep Silver. D-Day adds eight new single-player and six new multiplayer missions to the main game. Expansive landscapes in Normandy are featured, including the famous Omaha Beach where the Allied Forces launched Operation Overlord on June 6th, 1944.

D-Day introduces the US Army as a new playable faction, providing players with an impressive arsenal of Sherman tanks, P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft, landing craft, Thompson SMG, M1 Garand, Browning machine guns, GMC trucks, Bazookas, and many more additions. On the German side, the troops are further equipped with the Tiger I panzer for the defence of the Atlantic Wall.

This first add-on also gives a taste of the DLC still to come, and patch 1.05 integrates it into the main game free of charge for all Iron Front players. The new patch for Iron Front – Liberation 1944 is required for the D-Day DLC and is available from the official website, http://ironfront.deepsilver.com/patch. Also, as a gift to players, the Tiger I E tank will be available through this patch in the main Iron Front – Liberation 1944 campaign.

D-Day is now available as a digital download version exclusively for PCs, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £7.99 GBP. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Iron Front – Liberation 1944 and other titles from Deep Silver.
