The latest update for the recently launched Total War: Rome II ‘Faction Hub’ has arrived, bringing with it details of the next playable faction to feature in the forthcoming videogame. This time SEGA and The Creative Assembly have offered us a look at the Hellenistic nation of Macedon, accompanied by a screenshot of the Shield Bearers infantry unit.
Proud warriors and gifted statesmen, the Macedonians yearn to return to the glory-days of Alexander The Great. However, hemmed in by the other Greek city-states, who find Macedon’s empire-building past hard to forget, players will have to work hard to forge local alliances.
Can you help the Macedonian empire to rise again under a new Alexander? You’re welcome to try when Total War: Rome II launches exclusively on PC later this year. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Total War: Rome II and other forthcoming titles from SEGA and The Creative Assembly.
