Ahead of the UK launch of the highly anticipated Wreck-It Ralph motion-picture, Disney has launched a series of free browser based videogames. Available to play now, each title is based on some very famous videogame properties.
The first videogame, Fix-It Felix, Jr., plays like a cross between Midway’s Rampage and Donkey Kong, in which players have to climb a sky-scrapper repairing windows on the way up. However, the star of the show is always one-step ahead attempting to foil our hero’s do-gooding plans. The second title features a visual still that is clearly based on
Epic Games’ Gears of War franchise, as Hero’s Duty sees the player fighting waves of alien insects from a first-person perspective. Hero’s Duty is a surprisingly complex affair, featuring numerous weapons, characters, enemies and even its own achievements system. Finally we have Sugar Rush Speedway, a cart racing videogame that is as simply to play as it is easy to enjoy.
All three of these titles are available to play now, for free. Built on the Unity web gaming platform they can be found at http://www.disney.co.uk/wreck-it-ralph/games/, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with any future videogame-related promotional activities for the forthcoming Wreck-It Ralph.
