Microprose has officially launched Special Forces: Team X, presenting an impressive looking team-based tactical shooting videogame on Xbox 360 and PC via digital distribution services. The developer has confirmed that Special Forces: Team X has been brought to market by Atari, who have published and distributeed all versions of the videogame under an exclusive license agreement.
Special Forces: Team X is a third-person cover based action title, featuring brutal firefights between elite squads of special force operatives. Special Forces: Team X takes place in the fictional future; one that is infested with conflicts amongst the geo-political power brokers. Featuring exclusively licensed weapons including Kalashnikov, Colt, Famas, Sig Sauer and Mossberg, thanks to a partnership with Cybergun SA, each weapon offers a large variety of upgrades and all are fully customisable.
Special Forces: Team X supports asymmetric gameplay with two-to-four teams and five game types. Co-operative play between team members is richly rewarded, giving small co-ordinated teams an advantage in the battle. Players also can choose to take dogs into the firefight with them. Use the dogs of war to guard your back or eliminate the enemy.
Now available, Special Forces: Team X has launched on Xbox 360 via the Xbox LIVE Arcade and on PC via digital platforms. The original trailer for Special Forces: Team X can be viewed here, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details from Microprose.
