Following the staggered announcements of global release dates for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Konami Digital Entertainment has released a whole host of new character artwork from the game. Arriving all in three major territories in May next year, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is an all-new episode in the Metal Gear Solid saga, exclusive to the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
A direct sequel to the PlayStation 2’s Metal Gear Solid: 3 Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is set in 1974 at the tail end of the cold war. Boasting an all-new story penned by the series creator, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker drops the player into the midst of a terrible plan for world domination. Infiltrating a succession of strong-holds, the player takes on a number of increasingly varied missions with stunning visuals, versatile enemy artificial intelligence (AI), and a twisting plot that promises to delight and surprise as the game is played.
In addition to the single-player campaign, players can now work together in the multi-player CO-OPS mode; assisting each other by administering medical help, sharing munitions, and sneaking through stages in formation by covering each other’s blind spots.
The new character art from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker reveals a number of familiar faces, in addition to some less well known characters set to make their mark on the series. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the most anticipated PSP released of 2010, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.
