Activision hasn’t had a good time of things since the announcement of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Originally berated for bringing the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead universe to the first-person shooter (FPS) template after the huge success of Telltale Games’ adventure series, and then mocked extensively after the first decidedly dicey gameplay footage was presented on a public forum. That’s not stopping the publishing giant however, with the latest stage in the production of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct being the revelation of the box art design.
Based on AMC’s Emmy-Award winning TV series, the do-whatever-you-need-to-survive FPS allows you to assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon, alongside his overbearing brother Merle, on a haunting and unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta. The box art presented below depicts our unlikely hero and his brother in a moment of peace. Chances are it won’t last long. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct and other forthcoming videogames based on the popular franchise.
