Along with the revelation of Rising Star Games’ Q1 2012 line-up this morning, the UK based publisher has announced two new PlayStation 3 exclusive titles that will be available later this year. Both Way of the Samurai 4 and Rune Factory Oceans will be released within the 2012 calendar, both exclusive to the PlayStation 3 console.
Following the success of Way of the Samurai 3 back in 2010, Way of the Samurai 4 continues the tradition of casting the player as a nameless rōnin of their own creation. Arriving in the fictional town of Amihama, players will align themselves with one of three rival factions: the pro-government forces, the rebels, or the British Navy stationed in the city. Your choice of ally will greatly affect the way in which you play.
Rune Factory Oceans (aka Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny), will finally receive a PAL release in 2011. Already available in Japan and North America, Rune Factory Oceans supports motion control on both Wii and PlayStation 3. Here in Europe however, only PlayStation 3 gamers will be honoured with the opportunity to travel across the sea on the back of a beast known as Ymir.
No release date for either Way of the Samurai 4 or Rune Factory Oceans has yet been announced, though both have been confirmed for release in 2012. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest on the two PlayStation 3 exclusive titles, and other forthcoming releases from Rising Star Games.
