Tecmo Koei Europe recently revealed that the forthcoming Warriors Orochi 3 is set to include a stage editing mode, similar to the acclaimed Forge mode featured in current-generation Halo titles. Known as Musou Battlefield, the feature will be included in both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Warriors Orochi 3 upon release later this month.
In Warriors Orochi 3, the Musou Battlefield mode allows you to freely customise battlefields that you have previously completed within the Story Mode or Free Mode. Using the Musou Battlefield mode players can alter the appearance of the gameplay stages, such as the officers that appear within the level and altering the positioning of certain elements. Players have a points limit to spend, allowing them to edit the battlefield as they please while still resulting in a playable presentation. What’s more, players can unlock Musou Battlefield Elements after stages in Story Mode and then use these to edit even more parameters of each map.
Once players have created their own unique vision of one of Warriors Orochi 3’s battlefields they are able to save it to their console, and test it in battle first-hand. Once satisfied with their creation, players are invited to upload it to the Warriors Orochi 3 online network and share with other users. Of course, players will also be able to download those created by other gamers. Warriors Orochi 3 is set for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 30th March 2012, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on this and other forthcoming releases from Tecmo Koei Europe.
