Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has today launched a brand new range of budget software for the PlayStation 3, backed specifically by Ubisoft. Twelve of the publisher’s biggest current-generation releases are now available as part of the ‘Essentials’ range, all offered with a recommended retail price (RRP) of just £14.99 GBP.
Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II: Game of the Year Edition, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, Prince of Persia, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game, Far Cry 2,
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 and Driver: San Francisco are all available as part of the PlayStation 3 Essentials from today, marking an impressive launch line-up for the new budget range. All of these titles have been met with significant commercial success upon their initial release, and so Ubisoft are likely to be hoping to boost this further with the re-release as part of this new budget range.
The PlayStation 3 Essentials range will line-up alongside the Platinum and Greatest Hits ranges, marking an entry level price point that competes with the pre-owned market directly. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest additions to the PlayStation 3 Essentials range.
