Electronic Theatre ImageNamco Bandai Games Europe has today launched the critically acclaimed Demon’s Souls on the PlayStation Network, available as a downloadable title in PAL territories for the first time. Demon’s Souls is the debut title in FromSoftware’s Souls series, and remains a PlayStation 3 exclusive despite the success of it’s sequel on Xbox 360 and PC.

Originally launched back in 2010, Demon’s Souls was praised for its challenging gameplay and deep progression system. Electronic Theatre delivered an in-depth review of Demon’s Souls at the time of launch, stating; “After the raging debate about whether or not the title would sell well enough to warrant a European release attracted enough headlines to practically ensure its success, Namco Bandai made the shrewd decision to package the game with all manner of additional Electronic Theatre Imageitems, while offering it at a reasonable price. But of course, what’s really important it was sits on the Blu-ray disc that you’re actually paying the money for, and that in itself packs plenty of content.”

Available to download from the PlayStation Network from today, Demon’s Souls is only likely to expand its audience on PlayStation 3. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the Souls series and other titles from Namco Bandai Games Europe.
