Team17 Digital Limited has announced the upcoming launch of their Amiga classic, Alien Breed, on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. This modern revision of the classic top-down shooter will be available to download via the PlayStation Network in early February.
Alien Breed offers the opportunity for both old and new fans to experience the original survival-horror game, featuring a choice of either old-school Amiga graphics or new enhanced graphics. Featuring a Story Mode that offers thirty levels including three new level packs – Convergence, Valiance and Synergy – Alien Breed will be available as a cross-platform experience for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, both in co-operative gameplay and via the use of cloud based save data.
No specific release date has yet been announced for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita edition of Alien Breed, nor has any pricing strategy been revealed, however a version of the videogame is already available for PlayStation Vita via the PlayStation Mobile edition. Electronic Theatre will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on Alien Breed and other forthcoming titles from Team 17.
