Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has suffered a small setback following the official launch of God of War: Ascension earlier this month, despite launching to significant critical acclaim. Following a chart–topping debut the second week sales dropped drastically, and so to prove that God of War: Ascension is more than just a multiplayer mash-up SCEE has re-issued the single-player trailer for the UK audience.
In addition to the single-player trailer, God of War: Ascension’s live action trailer has been slightly extended from the broadcast version currently running on UK television. The game hasn’t even been out for 1 week in the UK so how can it already be known that its second week sales have dropped dramatically?
The game released March 15th 2013 in the UK, just 5 days ago…
You’re right that’s been on the shelves for less than a week, but from my time in the tech industry I can tell you that charts are measured Sun-Sat, so it’s in it’s second week now. I’d guess these second week sales aren’t doing so well – I know they were pretty awful in the US.
