Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has today launched two new hardware bundles for the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) console. Including either FIFA Football or MotorStorm RC as a downloadable addition, the PS Vita avoids the pitfalls or a price drop by adding value to the existing package.
In addition to the Wi-Fi model of the PS Vita console and the single-use download token for either FIFA Football or MotorStorm RC, the two new bundles also include a 4GB Memory Card. While most gamers would wish for a minimum of 8GB storage capacity – especially considering some titles available for download from the PlayStation Store already exceed 4GB – it’s a good starting point that the original launch day bundles failed to offer.
Both of these new PS Vita bundles offer a competitive pricing, though at the time of writing Electronic Theatre was unable to secure details of an official recommended retail price (RRP). Retailer prices vary wildly, and oddly many seem to offer the bundle featuring FIFA Football for a lower price than that of MotorStorm RC, despite the ~£20 price difference via the PlayStation Store. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the PS Vita’s official console bundle packages.
