Electronic Theatre ImageMarc Ecko’s Getting up: Contents under Pressure is a title made by Graffiti artist come fashion designer, Marc Ecko. Featuring over 50 tags by leading graffiti artists, the title is aimed at older players with the objective of the game being to earn yourself a great reputation by putting tags on hard to reach areas of the arenas available.  You are helped along the way by various high profile graffiti artists whose respect you have to earn to progress through the game.

The game is set in a totalitarian future where art and free thinking are frowned upon and Electronic Theatre Imageyou are hindered by both the police and people who don’t like to see you putting your name on walls, highway signs and anywhere else you can manage to get. There is apparently an element of stealth involved so hopefully there will be quite a lot of variation for you to place your tags. There are several different ways you can paint your tags including a spray can, a paintbrush and a roller, also several different size tags you can make each with varying levels of difficulty some earning more respect than others.

My main gripe with this is the camera, five minutes into playing it I was run over crossing a freeway because I couldn’t see where I was going although hopefully this will be ironed by the final release. You can move the camera around but to be honest I feel I shouldn’t have to move the camera manually to get a good view of where you’re going. Promising – but there’s still a lot of work to do.  -END-
