Many gamers are reporting issues with accessing the Xbox LIVE online network this evening, and as such Microsoft Studios has issued a ‘service alert’. The issue is currently believed to be limited players connecting to the network in Europe, and it is mainly in-game matchmaking that is being disrupted.
Microsoft Studios’ service alert offers little information as to when the issue is likely to be rectified, but does at least confirm that the publisher is acting on it: “We are aware of the
problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience [sic].”
Other services, such as the Xbox LIVE Marketplace recently launched television on demand applications, as currently unaffected. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on this issue.
