Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the forthcoming Guardians of Middle-earth videogame is set for release this autumn on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network. Fans of the Lord of the Rings saga should prepare to enter the battlegrounds as legendary guardians in a clash between good and evil. Only one team will rise from the ashes of war to claim Middle-earth as their own. Which side will you be on?
Guardians of Middle-earth is a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) videogame developed by Monolith Productions. The console-based MOBA offers more than twenty iconic guardians including Gandalf, Sauron, Gollum, Galadriel, Legolas and many more for players to control in player versus player (PVP) arena battles. Gamers will have the ability to connect with other players via an in-game voice communication system, as well as access to a comprehensive online stat and leader board system where they can track friends’ victories and defeats, and more.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has also released a brand new gameplay trailer for Guardians of Middle-earth, featuring some of the legendary guardians including Gandalf, Gollum and Sauron entering the battle front, showing off some of their lore-based skills and abilities in an attempt to conquer the other team’s fortress. Guardians of Middle-earth will be available this autumn on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the forthcoming videogame.
