Mastertronic has today announced that a barmy bunker of banana bombs and bazookas, Worms Collection, will be wriggling its way into stores ahead of the forthcoming Worms Revolution. Worms Collection is the definitive gathering of everyone’s favourite garden-dwelling grenadiers, consisting of Worms, Worms 2 Armageddon and Worms Ultimate Mayhem, Worms Collection spans over fifteen years of classic carnage-filled gaming.
The classic 2D strategy videogame that started it all, Worms is here in all its high-definition (HD) glory. Worms is an addictive mix of strategy and arcade-action that, while simple and easy to understand, contains real depth and massive replayability. Featuring offline and online turn-based play for up to four players, this is golden-age gaming at its comically violent best.
Pushing the cartoon carnage into overdrive, Worms 2 Armageddon comes with stunning new visuals and an arsenal of apocalyptic arms. Introducing Super Sheep, Napalm Strikes, Earthquakes, and the legendary Concrete Donkey, Worms 2 Armageddon is an exercise in extreme execution. Worms 2 Armageddon will also include five expansions previously sold separately.
Worms Ultimate Mayhem is a souped-up, re-vamped, HD reimagining of Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem, bringing both videogames together in one incredibly over-stuffed, over-the-top package. Including all of the content from the original videogames, Worms Ultimate Mayhem also brings a whole host of anarchic additions – more single player missions, more puzzles, more customisation, more worms.
All three titles will be available in one jam-packed package, crate-dropping into stores on 31st August 2012, for Xbox 360 and 7th September for PlayStation 3. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on the Worms Collection retail package and other titles in the Worms franchise.
