Electronic Theatre ImageTecmo Koei Europe has today revealed a selection of new content coming to the critically acclaimed Dead or Alive 5. In addition to the premium downloadable content (DLC) and a new balancing update, all Dead or Alive 5 gamers will receive a new stage for free.

This fresh new stage is set on a lush tropical island with clear blue sea and white sandy beaches – the perfect place to escape winter doldrums! Battles take place on a large beach and can carry into the waves of Electronic Theatre Imagethe neighbouring sea. The sea water is a “slip zone” where characters are more vulnerable to lower body attacks, which can stagger opponents. Tropical items such as coconuts can fall from trees when shaken or hit during battles, so watch out for falling objects! What’s more, players can enjoy seaside battles with new moves such as Bayman’s Death Punisher.

Of course, no new stage would be complete without the right attire, and so Tecmo Koei Europe will be releasing a series of DLC costumes to go with the new sunny scenes. Three packs will be made available, the Hotties Swimwear Pack 1 features new swimsuits for Kasumi, Kokoro, Helena, and Sarah, Hotties Swimwear Pack 2 featuring swimwear for Hitomi, Leifang, Mila, and Pai, and the Hotties Swimwear Pack 3 whichElectronic Theatre Image offers swimming outfits for Ayane, Christie, Tina, and Lisa. The screenshots for each of these costume packs
can be found here.

The final new revision for Dead or Alive 5 is a new patch, free to download, which addresses the combat balance and adds new moves, such as Bayman’s addition mentioned above, online gameplay adjustments and improvements, updated content and movie upload functions and other general updates based on player feedback.

Available for download today on the PlayStation Store and via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 on 29th January 2013, each pack will cost €4.99 / 400 Microsoft Points, while all three packs may be purchased in a money-saving bundle for €12.99 / 1040 Microsoft Points. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Dead or Alive 5 and other titles from Tecmo Koei Europe.
