Electronic Theatre ImageElectronic Arts and PopCap Games’ forthcoming Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare has been hyped as one of the most interesting additions to the Xbox One’s line-up, even if the expectation of how the videogame will play remains low. It’s all about the humour, and in this new live action trailer for the videogames this aspect shines through.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a multiplayer centric experience, with up to twenty four players joining teams comprised of – you guessed it – plants or zombies as the two life-long enemy tribes go head-to-head to claim the neighbourhood. backdrops such as your average suburban street, a shipping yard and a graveyard play host to climactic warfare between petals and rottingplantsvszombies_gardenwarfare_1 flesh online, but players can also join together to work as plants against the zombie hordes in a co-operative gameplay mode for up to four players. This co-operative mode is also available offline for two-players in split-screen, and is a welcome change-of-pace to the typically online-only multiplayer affairs on modern consoles. Electronic Theatre recently delivered an in-depth review of Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for Xbox One, with an Xbox 360 review to follow.

Set to be available from next Friday, 28th February 2014, Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will initially be available for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Other formats are expected to follow, though none have been confirmed at present. The brand new trailer follows below and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
